Say hi to FAM Kat, the museum’s new family mascot! FAM Kat, created from a tin-windup toy cat in the museum’s collection, is excited to come out of the collection and introduce kids and their families to Fredericksburg’s fun history, art, and culture! The FAM invites everyone to the FAM Kat Welcome Party on Saturday, July 23rd from 10am – 12pm. Families will be able to color their own FAM Kat and be the first to try FAM’s Family Explorer Pack, a new gallery game. The Family Explorer Pack includes a capsule with dice, a magnifying glass, and a list of challenges. This interactive game will allow families to explore FAM’s galleries. At the roll of the dice, families will go on an adventure into Fredericksburg’s past and present. FAM Kat’s welcome party is FREE and open to all ages.
