The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation will host a Father’s Day Brunch at Tun Tavern at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Guests are invited to enjoy a delicious family meal with optional adult beverage in a historic environment at the colonial-era tavern. View the full Father’s Day Brunch menu and beverage special here. For reservations, please contact events@marineheritage.org. The Museum is open free-of-charge daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, perfect for your pre- or post-brunch visit. The original Tun Tavern and brewery in Philadelphia, PA is regarded as the founding place of the Marine Corps. On November 10, 1775, upon being commissioned by the Continental Congress to raise two Battalions of Marines, Samuel Nicholas went directly to Tun Tavern and appointed its owner, Robert Mullan, the first Marine recruiter.
