Electrician
Matern Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician (job id # 2300) at a cabinet manufacturing facility in Culpeper, Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of electrical and manufacturing industrial maintenance experience, with a strong background in electrical systems and equipment commonly found in manufacturing environments.
As an Electrician, you’ll use your knowledge of electrical systems to detect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and machines to ensure production goals are met. You'll also provide strategic recommendations to improve process efficiency and output within the maintenance department.
Salary:
- $30-$40/hr
Schedule:
- 8am-6:30pm
What You'll Do:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in cabinet manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to AC/DC voltage systems, controls, pneumatics, and mechanical components to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Utilize pneumatic systems knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions as needed
- Interpret and work with controls voltage systems to ensure proper functionality and integration with manufacturing processes
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to assist with troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical components associated with electrical systems
- Understand construction processes and apply knowledge to electrical installations and modifications as required
- Maintain a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment
- Implement 5S/Lean processes to improve efficiency, organization, and workflow within the maintenance department
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in a manufacturing industrial maintenance setting
- Comprehensive understanding of AC voltage, DC voltage, pneumatics, controls voltage, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing effective solutions
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and the ability to apply this knowledge to electrical installations and modifications
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Experience with 5S/Lean processes and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
